7am Arivu not based on Inception; says Shruthi

Actor Surya and Shruthi Haasan are pairing up for a new flick titled ‘7am Arivu’. Ace director director Murugadoss and music director Harris Jayraj are again joining hands along with Surya to repeat the success of ‘Ghajini’.

By declining the rumors that came out about the film as it is a remake of Christopher Nolan’s latest release ‘Inception’, director Murugadoss says “It’s really absurd! These rumour mongers are coming up with such silly stories. I didn’t copy Inception.”

On speaking about these statements, the film lead heroine Shruthi who is busy shooting in Coimbatore alomg with Surya said “Clarification…!!! 7aum Arivu is NOT based on Inception… Not at all… Not in the slightest.” Read more...

Walt Disney announced Siddharth and Shruthi Haasan lead roles in Telugu movie

In a statement, Mahesh Samat, managing director of The Walt Disney Company India, said, “As we work to build a family entertainment brand in India, we plan to provide Indian audiences with an unparalleled roster of locally relevant stories and engaging characters and will continue to tap into the local creative ecosystem to develop content which resonates with Indian kids and families."

Slated to release in January 2011, the yet-to-be titled epic fantasy adventure directed by National Award winning Prakash Rao Kovelamudi and co-produced by K Raghavendra Rao is Walt Disney India's first locally developed studio project aimed specifically at southern audiences.

The film, set in the fictitious teardrop shaped land of Sangarashtra, will also be dubbed into Tamil, sources say. The story is about the journey of a nine-year-old girl and her quest to save Sangarashtra from an evil queen, played by Lakshmi Manchu.

Shruti Hassan Heroine in Murugadoss Film with Surya why?

Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruti Haasan's Kollywood debut opposite reigning actor Suriya in a film to be directed by talented A.R. Murugadoss is one of the major happenings in the South Indian film industry these days! While the shooting of this yet-to-be-titled flick, being simultaneously made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, is all set to begin this week, we hear that the makers' original choice in the female lead of the film was Asin, but they finally chose Shruti Haasan instead of Asin as reportedly Shruti Haasan has a face which is more suited for Bollywood.
