What’s Dhanush’s Vengai About?

Dhanush’s next film is an action entertainer which is with the commercially successful director ‘Hari’. Titled as ‘Venghai’, the film will entertain audience to the core but will also have a message.

Violence must be resorted to by the one who protects and not by the one who caters to his anger. This is the one-line theme of the film. Again Tamannah plays the female lead with Dhanush in this film after ‘Padikathavan’.

Superstars Big Tickets From September!

The first season of 2010 might not have been so promising for the film buffs, but you can expect a heavy downpour of big tickets from Superstars for the next half yearly period.

Enthiran: Rajnikanth’s magnum opus ‘Enthiran’ was supposedly reported to hit screens on September 3. Though it was an unconfirmed buzz, Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena reafirms about releasing the film by first or second week of September. The film’s musical mania has exceeded everyone’s expectations and for the next coming days, it’s gonna be ‘Endhiran’ alone.

Manmadhan Ambu: Kamal Haasan’s yet another comedy entertainer with K.S. Ravikumar. The duo’s combination in ‘Avvai Shanmughi’, ‘Thenali’, ‘Pancha Thanthiram’ and ‘Dasavatharam’ have revealed of great success. The additional goldrush in film’s veins will be the presence of Madhavan and Trisha. The film is scheduled for Diwali as Udhayanidhi Stalin plans to do so.

Kaval Kadhal: Beginning of Vijay’s new era. Is it worth ennobling Ilayathalapathy’s next release ‘Kaval Kadhal’ with such terms? A right one indeed! Neither gushing punch dialogues nor the timeworn ingredients of his yesteryear films will be prevalent here. So, what you have got to expect is all about fun, romance and emotions. Kaval Kadhal is also being planned to get released for Diwali.

Rattha Charithram: Suriya’s first multilingual film has a big way for him. Ever heard about a welcome before an arrival? Precisely, Suriya owns this fortune as even the celebrities of Hindi and Telugu film industry have become his ardent fans after watching the teasers. The film’s release has been postponed to October now.

Utthamaputhiran: Family entertainers have always found a right place in box office. On the button, Dhanush-Genelia D’ Souza starrer ‘Utthamaputhiran’ will be a sure-footed family entertainer as the Telugu version ‘Ready’ has been a successful forerunner. With star-casts’ number running to monstrous figures, the film is expected to have right mix of comedy, romance, family and more elements.

Actor Dhanush keen for becoming a director

Actor Dhanush is too keen to become a director, and he is eagerly preparing for the role.

“I worked for ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ like an assistant director and observe every move, from script to finish, in the making of his brother’s film. After learning the basics of direction I will direct a film”, said Dhanush.

Director and best friend of the actor, Vettrimaran once said after ‘Pollathavan’ that there is a quality director within actor Dhanush. Dhanush had even narrated a story to Vettrimaran and asked for his opinion whether it will click or not.

The actor is currently busy with ‘Seedan’ and the remake of Telugu film ‘Ready’. He will then get involved with Hari’s ‘Aruva’. Read more...

Dhanush says ready to act with Simbu

If you are of the opinion that there exists a cold war between Dhanush and Silambarasan, think again. Both the actors are goodfriends and proving this now is Dhanush, who says he is readyto act with Silambarasan.

“If there is a script that is so powerful and has meaty roles for both of us, I am ready to share the screen space with Silambarasan,” says the son-in-law of the Superstar. He also says the crew too should be equally strong.

“And last not but not least, the producer should be able to pay our salary,” he says with all smiles. On the remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Ready’, for which he is currently shooting for, Dhanush says, “the film will be racy right from the first scene.”

“Acting with Genelia is a delight,” he says and adds: “Because the actress is full of energy and is a thorough professional.” Ask him about director Mithran Jawahar, he says, “This is my third film with him. Hope we would score a hat trick.”

Dhanush’s next film titled “Seedan” started rolling

Dhanush, is all geared up to begin work on his next. Dhanush’s next film titled “Seedan” started rolling from Friday.

Seedan, the movie, directed by Subramania Siva (of Thiruda Thirudi and Yogi fame), has Ananya of ‘Naadodigal’ fame playing the the female lead. This Seedan film has newcomer Krishna in the second hero role. It is produced by Mohan, who has earlier produced films like Chandni Bar, Spadikam and Siraichalai.

Seedan also has Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Vivekh, Sheela, Ilavarasu and Ponvannan in prominent roles. Music will compose by Dhinna while Srinivasan, a former associate of P C Sreeram, will handle the camera. Read more...

Dhanush Busy in New Film ‘Mappillai’ bought by Sun Pictures

After the release of his recent flick ‘Kutty’, Dhanush is now busy with a new project titled ‘Mappillai’. It’s a remake of an earlier movie of the same title starring the Superstar Rajinikanth.

The film will be directed by Suraaj and produced by Nemichand Jhabak and V Hitesh Jhabak for Sun Pictures. The glamorous doll Hansika Motwani pairs opposite Dhanush in this film. The music for the film will be given by Mani sharma.

The hero says that ‘Mappillai’ is definitely going to be laughing film. He also stated that the film is not exactly a remake of earlier film. The director Suraaj has completely changed the screenplay by adding more comedy elements in the film.

Dhanush says “I am proud that I am going to do a role played by Rajini sir. ‘Mappillai’ is one of my favorite Rajini films and I had watched it many times. But never had I expected that I would do the lead role in its remake.”

It’s official that Sun Pictures, has bought the rights of Dhanush starrer ‘Mappillai’ from the film’s original producers Nemichand Jhabak and V Hitesh.Sun seems to be on the acquisition spree.

‘Mappillai’ is the second venture for Sun Pictures after ‘Padikadhavan’.Suraaj is directing the film. The movie is expected to be a summer 2010 release, as the film production and distribution arm of Sun TV Network has in hands a string of films awaiting release.

The movie as you know is a remake of a yesteryear Rajinikanth film of the same title, the new version has Hansika Motwani opposite the son-in-law of the Superstar. Jayapradha will play the all-powerful mother-in-law, played by Sri Vidya in the original.

Manisharma is composing the music.Suraaj said that there are no major changes to the script, some minor modifications are however being made to suit to the present trend.He expressed his excitement direct a film whose original version had Rajini sir in the lead role. Read more...
